I’ve been so MIA, I know. I’m sure you don’t want my reasons but one of them is that I’m drowning in a sea of emails and advertising and Russian hackers (no, seriously, I get a dozen spam comments a day from Russia – that’s why I moderate my comments).
About a year ago, I joined a bunch of Facebook groups and signed up for a bunch of courses that I have zero time to commit to in any meaningful way. I was hosting a few groups to help other bloggers get their own blogs started and I was spending so much time helping everyone else that I had no time to focus on my own stuff. I finally decided to get out of those groups and I feel so much lighter but I still spend an hour a day reading other group pages.
I started listening to The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing on Audible and it’s changing my life. Just like it said it would. I’ve been looking at everything in the house and asking it “do you bring me joy?” I put most of my cosmetics and skin creams in a box and gave them to my niece. I realized I was holding onto them to create the lame facade that I’m super feminine but the truth is, my skin care regimen is Aesop after a shower and Blistex on Saturdays. I also started to clean up my ridiculous collection of wools and roving. I’m starting an Etsy store to sell wool bundles. This pic is the rose quartz bundle.
One of my New Years resolutions is to declutter the house, get off all the facebook groups and unsubscribe from all the junk mail.
So this week’s roundup:
In the spirit of streamlining (and cleansing) for the New Year – Man Repeller suggests…
And it’s Valentine’s Day in the Holiday Shop. Check it!
I told you this had nothing to do with the inauguration. Jules seems to get left out of a lot of photo shoots so here’s a picture of him that I can’t stop staring at.
