At home swim lessons

I’m in love with my pool. It has an old-school diving board and a pool house and all summer long I feel like I’m living in a Slim Aarons photograph. I saved a mole from drowning in the pool this morning. A mole!! America has the cutest animals. I’ve never seen a mole in real life until 6 hours ago. This is some Wind In The Willows kind of fairy-tail shiz.

On Sunday, Aubrey the boys’ swim instructor came to our house to teach Finn and Bennett to swim. It turns out, you can hire a fully qualified swim instructor online (Care.com or Sittercity etc) for the same as it would cost to take them to swim lessons at the Y or a swim school. Plus you don’t have to share the class with four or five other kids and wait while your kid holds onto the side of the pool waiting his turn. And who wouldn’t prefer to watch their little ones receive uninterrupted swim lessons from the comfort of their own deck-chair? And that’s my peer to peer tip of the day, mamas.
