I signed up for Citrus Lane while they were having a promotion so I paid half price for my box. The way it works is that you pay a monthly subscription fee ($24 per month for 6 months or $29 for 1 month) and receive a box of age appropriate toys and products each month. The service is designed so that you can try new products that you mightn’t have otherwise tried, at an affordable price. In my box I got:

Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock – $12.99

The Little Red Hen (with audio CD – Read by Debra Messing) – $18.47

Boon Bath Appliques – $9.99

Somersaults Snacks – free sample size

I love the Shape Sorting Clock and The Little Red Hen book and I have to say, those Somersaults Crunchy Nuggets are ridiculously good but it was a sample size so you only get a handful. I didn’t think much of the Boon Bath Puzzle, but Finn seems to like playing with it every now and then. Since the monthly cost is $24, I basically saved $5 on things I would have (maybe) bought anyway, and I got something I wasn’t that impressed by (worth $10) and a yummy snack, for free. I think this idea is awesome for people who love surprises in the mail. I do love a package in the mail, but I buy everything online anyway.

If you want to sign up you can save 40% off your first box with code TAKE40
