Free beautiful stock images do exist. Stay with me – I know where they are.
I use my own photography for my blog and the majority of my sponsored posts. For my e-course posts I use a combination of my own photos and stock. Depending on the type of blog you have, you may or may not want to use stock photos.
DO NOT USE OTHER PEOPLE’S IMAGES. Don’t do it. There’s no use putting a sentence in your blog’s disclaimer that says something along the lines of: ” I (name of blogger) assume that all of images used on this website are public domain … if you see an image which you feel should not be here, please email me immediately at (email address), and the offending image will be promptly removed.” This kind of “disclaimer” doesn’t protect you from anything.
If you must use images that you have not taken yourself, use stock photos responsibly.
If the aesthetics of your blog are important to you, using stock can be tricky. Mainstream stock sites like Picjumbo, Pixababy, and Shutterstock can be okay if you know what you are looking for, but for the most part mainstream stock is just awful.

Here are my favorite sources of free beautiful stock images. You’re welcome.
Remember to always check the licensing on any photo you want to use. Some boutique stock image houses will have a blanket rule like, “please credit all photos” and others will have different rules for different images. As a general rule, just credit all free photos like I have above unless the image says something like “Free for commercial use. No attribution required.”
If you are working with a brand on a sponsored post, you will probably be allowed to use images from the brand’s website even if they haven’t sent you a kit with photos to use, but check with them anyway. Safety first friends!!
If you have a question about using stock photos on your blog, or you know of another website for free beautiful stock images, email me or write your question below! I will always get back within a couple of days. Thanks for being here. XO
