This cute little thing that Jules is bouncing in is the Baby Bjorn Bouncer Mini. It arrived at our place a few weeks ago and it’s making me wish I had one when Finn and Bennett were babies. This is my Baby Bjorn Bouncer Mini review.
Robbie told me, while I was assembling this beauty, that the bouncer was Baby Bjorn’s first ever invention. I was sure it was some early version of the carrier, but he was right (because he’s not just a pretty face)
The Mini is like the original bouncer but smaller, for babes up to 6 months. The movement is a natural bounce that feels receptive to Jules’s own movements. He’s completely supported in it, even with his 99th percentile, 2 month old bobble-head.
It’s also perfect for travel so instead of me or Robbie always holding him at a friend’s place, or schlepping a pack and play everywhere we go, we can just throw the bouncer in the car. I love that it’s so light. So I’ve been taking it downstairs with me to do laundry. Upstairs I love having him bounce next to me while I’m at my desk. And because he always needs to be able to see me at this age, he bounces away to Benny Goodman in the kitchen while I cook.
The original bouncer is on my to buy list for when Jules outgrows the mini but for now this size is perfect for him. There are different toys that snap onto the bouncer and sit within swatting distance for entertainment. I have the Flying Friends toy but you can get soft toys too.
There are two settings, one sitting and one almost lying down. While I was taking photos of him in the lower position he fell asleep. Oh snap!
